FLORAL DESIGN WORKSHOPS
Have you ever wanted to work with local flowers?
Desired to create an arrangement that looks like it came straight from the garden?
Wanted to walk through our rows of dahlias?
Well, now you can!
We are excited to announce that beginning this next year, we will be hosting our very own design workshops. Steven will be teaching you how to create the loose, natural and flowing designs that are so en vogue these days, all with flowers cut straight from our garden.
This is an experience that is so extremely unique, you won't want to miss it!
GARDEN WORKSHOP DATES
Our garden workshop series are perfect for everyone. Whether you're a professional floral designer or you've never arranged a flower in your life, these workshops are designed to teach you the basics of harvesting flowers from the garden and arranging them into a beautiful composition.
Students will create one arrangement to take home as well as receive professional photography of their arrangement.
SPRING WORKSHOP: Sunday, May 20th
Featuring our favorite ephemeral spring blooms including anemones, poppies and larkspur, the spring workshop will be taking place when nature is absolutely bursting with blooms and color. A great way to start off your summer!
EARLY SUMMER WORKSHOP: Sunday, June 24th
Come join us as we move into the heat of summer! Featuring the classic flowers of summer including sunflowers and zinnias, we will be creating an abundant arrangement full of fresh color and scent and texture.
HIGH SUMMER DAHLIA WORKSHOP: Sunday, July 22nd
As we move into July, the dahlias will be starting to bloom and this will be the first workshop of 2018 to feature these beautiful and unique flowers. Steven will be sharing his secrets on using dahlias in arrangements and bouquets.
THANKSGIVING CLASS: November 18
Our last garden workshop class of the year, the Thanksgiving class will be making a seasonal autumnal arrangement - perfect for gracing your table and giving it a touch of natural beauty. This class will feature more of an understanding of incorporating dried material and foliage with fresh flowers into the composition.
The master classes are designed with the floral designer or flower enthusiasts in mind who want to master the art of arranging a design that looks like it came straight from the garden.
There is no limit to the amount of master classes you can take - each master class will feature different vases, material and styles, so no two classes will be exactly alike. There are also no restrictions if also taking the garden workshop classes.
Students will create two arrangements: a compote and an upright container, and will receive professional photography of their arrangements. In addition, students will be "let loose" on the farm to cut and harvest their own flowers.
